What is their habitat?

They live in forests and wetlands. The dense vegetation in these places are helpful for them, as they are herbivores.

Can you list some unique characteristics for me?

They can sleep in water. They have continously growing teeth. They are also used as furniture by other animals and are fantastic swimmers. Also, adult capybaras weigh as much as an adult human! Crazy!

How can we help them?

People can reduce the hunting of capybaras for food and leather. They can also stop cutting down trees (Deforestation), which kills their habitat. Also, they can stop illegally poaching the species.
